Artist Statement

“If you can’t grab life by the horns, then grab it by the tail.”

Make things beautiful but bizarre, a bit funky and full of irony. Isn’t that what good art is all about? Not only  should it tell a story, but it should also propel people to think or even sometimes to cringe. You have to be able to express yourself without worrying too much about what people think about your art. That’s the key to  becoming a successful artist.

Randy

If anybody ever said that Randy Paryl did things the easy way, you might want to check their temperature to make sure they are feeling ok. Nothing he has ever done has been easy, from being a drummer for the local horror punk band The Spectremen for over 20 yrs, to working to save animals through Leica’s Saving Paws Rescue, or connecting with Bill to learn how to weld and do fabrication, then being able to join Metal Nature. It hasn't been a straight-shot journey but what a RIDE!

Bill

Bill's roots in metal fabrication go back over thirty years to a time when he worked making custom metal furniture. Although his primary focus at the time was creating faux finishes, Bill learned a few things about welding. Bill has always looked for new ways to express his creativity, and his most recent endeavor is Metal Nature, a collaboration with like-minded artists.
